668 ON STIRLING
668 on Stirling was a unique project facilitating affordable units, light weight construction and the a small lot with access issues. Through a collaboration process with Bruce Construction and Design a unit development was developed creating a hybrid unit / grouped housing development that maximised the site potential and extracted the best outcome possible from local council planning approvals and policies. A coastal vibe, light filled open spaces and large glazing defined the units to function more like a small house in lieu of traditional apartment designs. Due to site access issues and proximity to a major road network, where possible the structure was designed to be light weight construction methodologies that allowed quicker build times and less reliance on heavy lifting machinery like cranes. A unique design then evolved and a angular form with double storey volumes layered the street façade and created a striking street presence.
