This new build was set on the south side of Bunbury’s rolling sand dunes overlooking the ocean and bird park swamp lands. The family home is positioned across multiple levels that float along the 11m drop from front of the block to the rear.

The house was designed with two main separated floors to suit the best use of natural light and view lines. The Music Room, Garage and Storage to lower ground floors where the home was dug into the natural ground line and Main Living areas and Bedrooms located on top to maximise views and sun patterns.

The main living area is positioned to the front of the street with small windows facing the street, blocking out the harsh late afternoon western sun. The living area and kitchen open up onto an alfresco and pool area that faces north capturing the views while being shielded from the sun. Bedroom areas are split and step to the rear of the block where the natural ground lines become aggressive but the best views are positioned for the master bedroom.

A contemporary coastal look with bold forms in mainly soft whites, black steel, timber and a limestone feature chimney stack. Landscaping connected to the façade is used to soften and enhance the dominate floating forms of the upper floor.
