OB HOUSE

Lot topography with significant coastal views dictated a split level design and staggered approach to a multilevel home that overlooks the coastal area of ocean reef in Perth’s Northern Suburbs.. A modern coastal style with white finishes and a contrasting textural changes used to balance out the folding ribbon form and expansive glazing. A basement structure is proposed to dig into the sloping and hideaway all vehicles and boats with a concealed garage door. The living areas and bedroom levels then float over the sunken basement creating a defined streetscape where the garage is removed as the primary focal point. The folding ribbon form bends over the 2 storey structure with interlaced vertical green elements and large volumes of glazing.
