A fishermen’s coastal beach shack that spent the summer in the gym. With subtle hints to the coastal lifestyle and ques from Hamptons and traditional Victorian architecture the home creates a unique and balanced street elevation with moving shadows and textures creating a balance to the all white façade. Small pockets of natural white limestone are then used to balance the façade and contrast against the extensive landscaping and green spaces. With the home being designed for a large family and an ability to sustain guests or be an intergenerational space. To gain as much solar access where possible from the rear northern sun patterns the home is split into two wings that provide direct northern light to the southern orientated rooms. The rear northern area opens up to a massive family orientated space focused on making the most of coastal living and outside pool and play areas.
