Directly opposite the Yokine Park the skinny lot design of Park House looked to create a home that focused on rear area private living and yet connected with the Park visually from the upper floor. A large cantilevered balcony with defined geometric shapes angles that fold over the lower level massing of a concealed garage door, creating a balance between mass and transparency as the street elevation will always be in shadow from a southern orientation. House design steps in and out to the western side allowing direct and ambient light patterns to middle rooms with Velux skylights further enhancing the natural light penetration into living spaces.
